2016-2017 Mentoring Program

Are you new to the HR profession, trying to navigate your way in the workplace and through company politics? Or, have you been working as an HR professional for many years and want to take your career to the next level? Having a Mentor may be just what you need!

What is HR mentoring? It is the opportunity to guide and help develop professionally a mentee who is anxious and ambitious to enhance their HR career.

If you’ve been in HR for a few years and enjoy giving back to the HR community, why not mentor an entry-level HR person? Or, if you are a senior manager – you have great experience and a solid knowledge base - why not share some of your experiences with mid-level HR people trying to make that leap into senior management?

Entry-Level Mentees:

We’re Accepting Applications for Mentees and Mentors to Participate in the

2016-2017 CSHRM Mentoring Program!

Requirements for Mentees:

  • Member of Cleveland SHRM
  • At least 1 year experience in the Human Resources field (for entry-level mentees)
  • At least 7 years experience in the Human Resources field (for mid-level mentees)

Requirements for Mentors:

  • Member of Cleveland SHRM OR Member of National SHRM OR Member of the HR Leadership Group of Northeast Ohio (formerly NOHRPS)
  • PHR or SPHR Certified
  • At least 5 years experience in the Human Resources field (for mid-level mentors)
  • At least 12 years experience in the Human Resources field (for senior-level mentors)
