Learning & Development Meeting:  Make Your Learning Make a Difference:
Implementing and Sustaining Training

Date: Friday, March 24, 2017 at Baldwin Wallace University (7:30 AM - 10:00 AM)
Sandstone Conference Center located in the lower level of Strosacker Hall. (room 3) 120 E Grand St, Berea, OH 44017

Note to attendees: Some GPS units still send people from the west onto East Grand Street. East Grand no longer runs in front of the Union as a driving street. It’s been turned into a cul-de-sac and you cannot reach the parking lot driving from E. Grand. Use Tressel Street to access the main parking lot.

Session Overview:

Please join us as we explore the final two (2) phases of the ADDIE model: 1) Implementation; 2) Evaluation. ADDIE is a learning design guideline utilized for building effective training and performance-based support tools. Our very own L&D committee members will highlight the basic elements of I&E through thoughtful group discussion, case study analysis, team-building exercises. As always, this L&D event will be action packed and experiential.

Be prepared to review best practices for successfully implementing learning solutions within your organizations. Prepare a procedure for training facilitators as well as learners. Develop criteria for ensuring deliverables are met. Consider formative and summative metric options for evaluating your designs.

About our Facilitator: Jennifer Yaros, Vice President of Operations at Radcom, Inc.

Jennifer is the Vice President of Operations at Radcom, an instructional design and technical documentation company. She has been developing online and classroom training for eleven years.

Her current responsibilities include keeping up with industry trends, evaluating new technologies, and developing and estimating training solutions for clients. Often the best solution (or dream solution) for a client is not within the budget, so Jennifer must be creative in designing a solution that meets the learning goal, the client’s vision, and the limited budget.

Jennifer has been promoting creativity at Radcom within the design process to increase learner engagement and client satisfaction. She even has a “creativity corner” in her office where she likes to put on her Empress Crown and draw on her whiteboard, brainstorming ideas.
