Learning & Development Meeting - The Modern Learner: Solutions for Learners who are Overwhelmed, Distracted and Impatient
Date: Friday, June 16, 2017 at Baldwin Wallace University (7:30 AM - 10:00 AM)
Sandstone Conference Center located in the lower level of Strosacker Hall. (room 3) 120 E Grand St, Berea, OH 44017
Note to attendees: Some GPS units still send people from the west onto East Grand Street. East Grand no longer runs in front of the Union as a driving street. It’s been turned into a cul-de-sac and you cannot reach the parking lot driving from E. Grand. Use Tressel Street to access the main parking lot.
The Modern Learner is overwhelmed, distracted, and impatient. According to research by Bersin by Deloitte, 1% of a typical work week is all that employees have to focus on training and development. How are organizations designing their learning environments and cultures to help their talent grow and develop in the face of these constraints? Many are turning to new learning habits, mobile enabled learning, collaboration, communities, peer learning, and integrating learning into the work.
On Friday, June 16th, we’ll host a panel of learning experts who will share their approaches to these challenges. Following the panel, we’ll create space for you to discuss your questions in small groups to collect even more ideas and build your own connections.
