As President for the next year, I am excited and humbled to lead this impressive and talented group of individuals.  We are committed to continue pursuit of our Mission and Vision, as follows:

The Mission of the Cleveland Society for Human Resource Management (Cleveland SHRM) is to Develop HR Professionals to Advance Their Organizations.  Cleveland SHRM exists to provide resources and opportunities for members at all levels to expand their knowledge to help achieve the goals of the organizations they work for. 

The Vision or long term objective is that Cleveland SHRM will become the first resource in Northeast Ohio for all HR professionals.  The goal is for Cleveland SHRM to be the first place that professionals in Northeast Ohio look to when they have a human resource need.   The mission and vision are supported by five strategies - - relevant programming, enhanced networking opportunities, development for experienced professionals and education for students and those transitioning into HR roles.   There is also a strong emphasis on giving back initiatives, particularly in Northeast Ohio.  

On behalf of the 2007-2008 Board of Directors, welcome to the Cleveland Society of Human Resource Management’s website.  The Cleveland Society of Human Resource Management is an affiliate of the National Society for Human Resource Management and has over 550 members throughout the greater Cleveland area.  Cleveland SHRM is a three-time winner of the prestigious SHRM/Olsten Pinnacle award and has been recognized by National SHRM as a Superior Merit Chapter for 28 years.
