Staffing Management Association (SMA) is a special interest group of Cleveland SHRM dedicated to providing professional development of HR practitioners charged with improving the recruiting and staffing functions within their organizations. SMA organizes several meetings throughout the year for HR practitioners/recruiters to learn the latest trends in recruiting and staffing.
On the NorthCoast, we pride ourselves on being "actively interactive". Specific programs and goals include:
- Five targeted "Morning Meetings" per year, featuring both national authorities and outstanding regional practitioners. Topics range from Recruiting and Selection to Retention and HRIS. These sessions regularly attract over 50 of your fellow professionals and are geared to offering diverse perspectives on common problems.
- An annual "Training Event", offering in-depth skills development.
- Numerous opportunities for networking, volunteering, and participation in events ranging from the Northern Ohio Human Resource Conference to the SHRM Golf Outing.
