The ClevelandSHRM Staffing Management Association (SMA) Team is committed to the continued expansion of our recruiting community through our growing, innovative programming and annual mini-conference strategy.

This year’s program dates are as follows (topics to be confirmed, but save the dates for now):

October 10th – Breakfast Meeting - 7:30-9:30am
November 14th – Breakfast Meeting - 7:30-9:30am
January 23rd – Webinar – Time TBD
March 27th – Breakfast Meeting - 7:30-9:30am
May 8th - Conference – Time TBD
Breakfast meetings are at Northeast Ohio Media Group, 1801 Superior Avenue, Downtown Cleveland (Former Plain Dealer Building). The 2015 Conference location is Hyland Software Campus in Westlake.

By securing conference space at one of Northeast Ohio’s coolest high-tech companies (Hyland Software), we’ve built brand credibility into our marketing strategies. Continuing to identify and reach a distinguished group of recruiting leaders in our community, the SMA Team continues to influence the leaders that will ultimately authorize expenditures for a broader group of potential attendees (individual contributors). Using LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook to promote our speakers, sponsors and events, we continue to reach previously untapped attendee and sponsor resources.

Ultimately our strategy is built on a foundation of high quality, nationally recognized speakers and programming. In 2014, Doug Crose of LinkedIn, Rhoda Kreuzer of Partner in Action, Michael Sharon of Sharon & Kalnoki and Frank Zupan of Associated Materials led interactive and extremely well received sessions for approximately 150 attendees. The bar is set for 2015!

Continued execution of the Cleveland SHRM SMA mini-conference strategy leads to increased visibility for the chapter and participation in other events directly attributable to this effort. Additionally, increased regular SMA program attendance and visibility of the mini-conference as the leading source of high quality programming for recruiters has led to additional sponsorships and interest in the event.
