How do you and your hiring managers define Candidate Experience?

Candidate experience is more important now than ever.  It used to be an “employer’s market,” where it was all about the Employer. But now, it’s the candidates who run the show. What job seekers think about your brand, the experience they have interviewing, every interaction they have with your company influences their opinion about you as an Employer. A poor candidate experience will not only decrease your talent pool, but it can negatively impact your bottom line.

Join Cleveland SHRM’s Talent Acquisition group on Friday, November 9th for an interactive panel with leaders across industries who are taking new and different approaches to building the best candidate experience for their companies and clients. During this session, you will learn best practices when it comes to creating a positive experience for candidates, which tools and technology can be most helpful, how to get buy-in from management that candidate experience is important and much more.

About Our Presenters:

Amy McMullen, Manager of University Relations and College Recruiting

Amy McMullen is the Manager of University Relations and College Recruiting for The Lincoln Electric Company in Cleveland, Ohio. While employed with Lincoln for the last six years, Amy has received three promotions and has established herself as a nationally recognized leader in the field of talent acquisition, specifically that of campus recruiting. Having more than 11 years of experience identifying top talent for national and global organizations, Amy has excelled in building programs to sustain growth and productivity focusing on sales and engineering development.   The Lincoln Electric Internship program has been recognized as one of the Top 5 Best Internship programs (for large companies) in Northeast Ohio, three times since 2015.  It has also been rated in the Top 100 Internship Programs in the United States by WayUp.

Dan Koletsky, Senior Consultant at Shaker International

Dan has experience working in a broad range of applied settings related to talent selection and assessment. As a member of Shaker International, he utilizes his experience working as both an internal and external consultant to help clients deploy and maintain evidence-based, multi-method selection tools that drive organizational performance through talent selection. He is passionate about partnering with clients to develop candidate-centric solutions that provide meaningful data for organizations to drive their talent strategies and their employer brand.

Huda Farunia, Talent Acquisition/HR Business Partner Manager at Asurint

As a leader of Human Resources at Asurint, Huda Farunia serves as the organization’s Talent Acquisition Manager and HR Business Partner for 40% of the talent base since she joined the team in July. In her short time with the organization, she has built a brand for herself with the organization’s leadership and the highly engaged employees through her progressive thinking, immense HR knowledge, and incredible ability to connect with people. In Talent Acquisition alone, Farunia operates as a working manager in talent acquisition and additionally leads in office operations, employee programs, developing and facilitating management training, revised the company handbook’s policies, reviewing and improving the mentorship program, and is a cheerleader for the business! Huda has set a precedence providing a formal onboarding process for new hires and mentors current employees to retain top talent. She also assists with internal transitions, inclusion, professional development, and org-realignment as well as creating communication and opportunities for promotions. Her most recent accolade is becoming the recipient of the 2018 Cleveland Crain’s Archer Award: Rising HR Star closing out her tenure at Cuyahoga Community College.

Kristin Cloonan, Chief Experience Officer at K2m Design, Inc

Kristin currently serves as the Chief Experience Officer at K2M Design, a national, high growth, entrepreneurial design firm, where she continues to provide leadership at the senior level of the organization, with a primary focus on the power of people. Kristin is a dynamic and proven business leader. Her previous experience at senior management levels in HR, Operations, Sales, and Marketing, enable her to have a deep understanding of an organization's needs and how to build and develop teams to reach strategic goals. Kristin has a track record of success in leading through the engagement of employees, consensus building, and culture development. She drives change with her entrepreneurial spirit and fosters collaboration with her ability to connect and build relationships at all levels of the organization.  Kristin’s career experience spans the retail, adult education, professional services, and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining K2M Design, Kristin was the Director of Business Development at ERC, responsible for representing all ERC's services, programs and partnerships to the Northeast Ohio marketplace. Kristin was also the Director of Marketing and Distributor Alliances at Ericson Manufacturing and her human resource, marketing, and business acumen were initially developed in her 10 years of General Manager and Corporate Training responsibilities with Talbots.

SueAnn Naso, President of Staffing Solutions Enterprises, Inc.

SueAnn Naso is President, Staffing Solutions Enterprises, Inc.  During her 26 years with the organization she has held a variety of positions including Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Chief Customer Officer.  She led the development and launching of a number of business services including Contract Workforce Optimization (StaffMatrix), Recruitment Services and myTalentLink.  Prior to joining SSE she gained industry experience working for an international staffing organization where she lead business development for a branch office in the southern California region.
