Creativity is the method of unleashing the mind to think in different ways and imagine new ideas. It goes beyond drawing or painting pictures, building sculptures, or craft making. At its most basic level, creativity is a set of ideas which leads to something new. It spurs innovation and can be used to improve the way you think.
Using lessons from her book, Conditioning Your Mind to Fuel Creativity, Jennifer Yaros shatters preconceived notions about what creativity is and means. She explains it is not a talent only some people are born with and instead is an innate skill everyone possesses. Practice is the only way to nurture and grow it.
This presentation uses a series of unique and divergent learning activities, to show learners how to prepare your body, thinking, and ego to be more creative.
- Be able to explain the difference between being creative, artistic, and innovative.
- Learn about the three areas for improving creativity.
- Leave with a plan for developing or improving their personal creativity.
Our Presenter: Jennifer Yaros, Founder and Chief Creativity Officer, BrainSpark
Jennifer is passionate about helping people tap into their own personal creativity and using it to solve business problems. She is the creator of the BrainSpark program and author of Conditioning Your Mind to Fuel Creativity.
In her role as VP of Operations for Radcom, Jennifer learned the value of developing creative solutions to meet clients’ needs and budgets. While helping clients document procedures and work instructions, Jennifer discovered a need for creative thinking and innovative solutions to everyday business problems in all areas of companies. She noticed that companies often implemented solutions to problems that did not solve the real problem. Jennifer decided to use her knowledge and experience in creative thinking and putting ideas to work to help companies solve their problems for good. This was the inspiration for BrainSpark – to help companies develop and use their innate creative thinking to discover innovative solutions to problems.
Jennifer has been delivering training programs, creative thinking workshops, and process improvement plans for mid-size and Fortune 500 companies for over two decades. She also frequently speaks at industry events across the nation.
