Cleveland SHRM's Learning and Development special interest group (SIG) exists to share knowledge, best practices, tools, and resources in the areas of learning and professional development. Our focus is to help our members make the best investments in learning and development efforts within their organizations so that they can grow the skills and capabilities of their people. HR professionals are frequently asked to support activities such as training, coaching, mentoring, and performance improvement. Providers of services are looking to understand these needs, and align their products and services where they can make a positive difference.
For HR practitioners and members, we identify the topics they care about most. These include: Conducting a training needs analysis, designing a learning experience, identifying providers, measuring and evaluating learning, and implementing technologies. We help to raise awareness and knowledge of these topics.
For Providers of services we help them connect with one another ,and with HR practitioners so that they can understand the interests of the HR community.
Our events include panel discussions, workshops, best practice sharing sessions, and online collaboration.
